Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about renting premium video studios at LensLock StudioGrid.

How far in advance should I book a studio?

We recommend booking 2–4 weeks ahead for standard dates. Peak seasons (March–June, September–December) fill quickly; reserve 6–8 weeks early for large crews or evening blocks.

What are your hourly and daily rates?

Studio A starts at $185/hr or $1,450/day. Studio B is $235/hr or $1,850/day. Full-day blocks receive a 15% discount. All rates include 12-hour access, basic lighting grid, and house Wi-Fi.

Is insurance required to book?

Yes. Every production must provide proof of $1M general liability and equipment coverage. We can add a one-day policy through our partner for $68 when you book.

What is the load-in and parking situation?

Two 10×14 ft roll-up doors and a dedicated loading bay are available. Free parking for up to four vehicles and one box truck; additional vehicles require a $25 daily permit arranged in advance.

Do you provide sound isolation and recording?

All studios feature 55 dB sound isolation, floating floors, and dedicated vocal booths. Four high-end Neumann U87 microphones and a Focusrite console are included at no extra cost.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations made 14+ days before date receive a full refund minus $75 admin fee. 7–13 days receive 50% credit. Less than 7 days is non-refundable unless weather or venue closure occurs.

Is there 3-phase power available?

Studio A offers 200A 3-phase and 100A single-phase. Studio B offers 400A 3-phase. All power is metered and included up to 40 kWh per day; overages are billed at $0.18/kWh.

Can I bring my own crew and gear?

Absolutely. You may bring any crew size and personal equipment. Our on-site technical manager is available $95/day for rigging assistance and safety checks.
